What is CORE In-Studio Creative Workshop?

It’s an intense, fast-paced, 8 week workshop that will challenge your vocal and professional abilities and sharpen your awareness as a performer.



This exciting new workshop is built on the CORE Vocal Power® method, and designed to set you on an individualized journey that will give you all the keys (Mind, Soul & Body) to be in “the zone” and deliver powerful vocals when in a recording studio or professional setting. The curriculum will give you experiential learning opportunities that will prepare you to be a skilled professional, not a hit and miss amateur. Learn to deliver quality vocals on cue.

Classes address the psychology (mind), the physiology (soul), and the physical (body) make-up of your vocal identity, which means you will begin to understand how to tap into your "sweet spot" or what Dot terms, your "CORE VOICE." The CORE VOICE is where all three of these areas collide to help you unleash your true voice and gain that extra edge and authenticity that immediately sets you apart from everyone else.

In addition, this workshop is intended to facilitate a personal break through, giving you an actual experience behind the mic where you feel first-hand what it means to “turn it on” and deliver powerful vocals.

As part of this cutting-edge experience, you will also dabble in the basics of songwriting because part of this workshop will be to create an original song, which will be performed by the group inside the studio.  You’ll have the unique opportunity to create lyrics, melody, and tone all within your authentic vocal style. 

Furthermore, executive deadlines are the driving force behind all professional work, which is why in this workshop you will also be exposed to the pressure of deadlines and experience how CORE Vocal Power will support you when you are racing against the clock.

How is the Course Structured?

Each week, you discover more layers of your voice through the powerful principles of Dot's award winning CORE Vocal Power® method and CHASE™ approach, as it applies to songwriting and studio performance, participate in writing a group song, and then spend weeks 6 & 7 in the studio, performing. 

Who is the workshop for?

Any qualifying person age 16 and up*, and is committed to becoming their personal best at vocal expression and performance. Anyone who might struggle with fear of hitting the wrong note under pressure and who wants to take their voice to a new level of power and authenticity.

This workshop is filled with intensive information that will enlighten your understanding of the voice, but it is structured to challenge and demand the best from you. Because of this, we are really only recommending this workshop to those of you who are committed and willing to invest time into your growth as a recording artist and performer.

Of course, everyone wants to grow and be better, be bolder, and be empowered but few are willing to do the work that is required to arrive there. This workshop will work you in a creative and productive way; hence, the word “work-shop.” However, there will be plenty of laughter, joy, and optimism to charge and uplift you along the way. If you are committed to your own growth, if you want to be challenged and have new experiences, and if you want to make a vocal break through then this workshop has been tailor-made for you.

*Important Qualifiying Information: Dot likes to individualize her classes around those who attend. We recommend first attending a private session with Dot.
