What will we be doing at your workshop?
You will be learning and applying unique C.O.R.E. Vocal Power™ tools to take your voice to the next level - regardless of your level! That involves:
- small group interaction
- musical games
- C.O.R.E. Vocal Power Yoga
- individual and group voice exercises
- personalized voice instruction
- constructive performance evaluation
You will get individual attention from Dot. She will help you tap into your gift and provide you tools that will increase your vocal awareness and help you to get more clarity and vocal confidence. In Dot's workshops, everybody is made to feel comfortable and safe to express themselves. You will learn techniques that address your MIND, SOUL AND BODY.
Why should I attend? Aside from the fact that it's going to be OH SO FUN and very INFORMATIVE, and it's COST EFFECTIVE, it will give you a unique opportunity to find out what Dot's NEW C.O.R.E. What should I bring?
YOURSELF! After you register, you will receive an email that we require you to fill out in order to complete your registration. This will help us get to know you better. You will also receive more instructions in here. At Dot's workshops, it's always good to have a song in your heart, but not required.
Will I have to sing in front of others?No - not if you don't feel comfortable doing it. It's an opportunity not a requirement.
Who will be there?Other singers, actors, speakers and everyday people of all ages and levels. Many of the people are very shy and working on building confidence while some are outgoing, professional singers - it doesn't matter what level. Dot's system has something special for EVERY SINGER...but yeah, they all get screened first. We're happy to report that Dot's workshops always attract a wonderful group of diverse people.

Since it's in a Yoga Studio, will we be doing Yoga and breathing exercises?You certainly won't be doing any exercises that will be strenuous, and the focus will not be on poses, but you will learn a special technique that will most likely ground and center you INSTANTLY, preparing your mind, soul and body for FREE vocal expression. I call this, C.O.R.E. Vocal Power™ YOGA and it involves basic, gentle breathing, meditation, and resonating, focused on clearing the MIND, Igniting the SOUL and EMPOWERING the VOICE!
Is Dot a "New Age-y" kind of teacher?The focus of Dot's C.O.R.E. Vocal Power™ Workshops is not a philosophy or religion it is YOU! Her system is a MIND-SOUL-BODY approach, based on proven brain research, coupled with psychology and music. She will challenge you to get in touch with your core, but this is done through interactive musical activities.
Can I give this Workshop to Someone as a GIFT?Yes, simply register, and email us at workshops@dotsvoicestudios.com. You will receive an email with a CORE VOCAL POWER™ gift certificate that you can give to your friend, or loved one!
Do I get a discount if I bring my friend?No - you get a $23 discount until February 15th, so REGISTER TODAY by clicking below!
Can Parents Attend with their Children?
Yes - but this isn't your typical workshop. If a parent is going to attend, they will be required to participate as well! This is a fun, bonding, interactive workshop, where there are no "observers." Only participants! We recommend ages 16 and up, but all ages are welcome. We hope to hold Children's workshops by summer of 2010. Sign up and tell us about your child or teen if you are interested.
Will the Workshop be filmed?Most likely, yes, but not always the entire workshop is filmed. All participants will be required to sign a release form, but don't get too excited, you won't be on MTV! Your image will not be used without your permission.
What is your Cancellation Policy? Registration cancellation will not receive a refund. Instead, 50% of registration cost will be credited towards the full amount of a future vocal lesson or workshop.
